No Impulse November
No impulse November, a challenge to break my bad spending habits. I've struggled with being extremely impulsive with making purchases for a long time. Basically ever since I got a job. It's kind of a problem, and the below list is basically a list of examples of things I consistently find myself wasting money on. By posting publicly I'm committing myself to not do these things in the month of November.
Go the month of November without making any "impulsive" purchases. Things considered impulsive:
- A different make/model of an item we already own
- A "little treat"
- Grocery items you didn't walk into the store planning to purchase
- Disc golf discs (pretty much all of them)
- Something you decide you want that night on your phone in bed browsing Amazon
- New silly hats (unfortunately)
- Checkout candy/snacks
- Desserts (we bought a big box of brownie mixes, make them)
- Anything GrubHubed
- Anything from an Instagram ad
- Anything intuitively considered impulsive.
Hopefully this will help me break my bad spending habits. (And maybe some of my impulse food habits as well)
